How to specify a custom php.ini for a web site

Linux: Creating a new php.ini file

If you do not have a php.ini file in your public_html folder you can create one by following the steps below.

  1. Log in to cPanel, if you haven’t already done so
  2. Open File Manager
  3. Click New File
  4. In the box labelled New File Name: type php.ini 
  5. Ensure New file will be created in: contains /public_html 
  6. Click Create New File
